Default HID headlight conversion

Thought I'd pass this along to those of you looking to upgrade your headlights. I know there's quite a few different options for people out there, but I've used these guys in the past and thought I'd share.

HID kits that come with either 35w or 55w bulbs, full wire harness, and relay if you buy the hi/low combo 55w HID kit. Not expensive at $65.00, and these come with a lifetime warranty. I've had them on a motorcycle of mine in the past, and plan to do the conversion soon. They were incredibly bright on my bike, can't wait to get these things on my Jeep too.

They also have 200mm housings with the cut-off line for $60

On top of that, they've got some pretty cool off-road LED light strips that arent 1500 bucks like most others I've seen.

Thought I'd pass it along. For $150 bucks to your door, you can have some seriously upgraded headlights, and a lifetime warranty to boot.

I'm not affiliated with these guys, just like their stuff.

I have them in my Honda Civic daily driver and they are a GREAT investment in headlights. Not a flicker or issue in 18 months.

Plug and play kits like the DDM kit you have listed are not DOT approved so they are illegal and blind oncoming drivers. The H4 housings were intended to focus light from a halogen light bulb and not meant to focus the light of a High Intensity Discharge light bulb. You would be better off buying a good set of H4 bulbs, some H4 conversion housings like the ones listed above, and upgrading your wiring harness. Otherwise if you really want HID lighting do a Projector HID conversion. It is more involved but the light output is superior to anything else you would do and will meet DOT specs and not blind oncoming drivers. Please respect those around you and do this upgrade properly and safely.

If you would like information on how to do a Projector HID conversion I would be glad to provide information on my build that I did back in the spring which has turned out to be one of the best upgrades I have done to my Jeep in the 10 years I have owned this thing and modifying it.
