Default Help me identify my lift please.

Hey guys, new to the Jeep world. Bought a 96 XJ about 2 weeks ago that already had a lift and wheels and tires. I'm trying to figure out what is on here.

From what I can tell there's larger springs, larger Lower control arms and maybe a couple lower leafs added?? I'm not entirely sure. I'd appreciate it if you guys took a look at the pics and tell me what you see and give me your opinions on the set up. To me, he did the minimal possible.

Also wondering if you guys can tell me why the jeep vibrates under acceleration. Slow it's fine, but pulling out in traffic or anything like that I don't like the way it feels. I took a look at all the joints and anything else that may be out of sorts, but all looks good and tight. No play in the U-joint or CV. Shouldn't there be more arch in the leaf springs?

The rear end has a locker.

So far the only things I have done is headers, full exhaust with a magnaflow muffler (no cat). The stock manifold was cracked to **** so I bought one on ebay and put it in. Had to get the muffler shop to do the rest. A TPS sensor, a crank sensor and a trans mount. Turns out I didn't need the crank sensor so now I have a spare. ( anyone need it?)

Sorry about the long read. Here are some pics. Thank you.

I have really no clue. My guess is tuff country only because I see you have blocks in the back, which tuff comes with in the kit. But really, i think it is nearly impossible to identify.

Tuff country? Where are the blocks located? I guess what I really want to know is what was changed in the lift package and if it's done right or not. I'm thinking I should just buy a new kit and put it on myself. I don't really know... guess I'll have to do more research because I hear of all sorts of problems that can arise after lifting.

Ha! I thought so. They're almost horizontal. Like I said, i just bought the Jeep 2 weeks ago. Any suggestions on a good 3" kit with new leafs that won't cause any issues?

Agreed, thanks for your input. I really like that kit too. I should probably get some shocks as well, but they seem to be fine. Anything I should look for to figure out if I need new ones? On a car I could usually tell just by bouncing on it and seeing how long it takes to settle back down. And of course ride quality. It's hard to tell at the moment considering these leafs are CRAP! There's no leaks or anything.

They should be ok...if they dont squeak, or leak youll get buy with em. If you decide you want a nicer ride youll want new shocks though.

Decent kit for a cheaper lift. You should be fine with that. May need new u-bolts, you will want to relocate your brake lines but thats easy.

It's such a hard decision. That kit comes with the U-bolts. I don't know why they aren't pictured... might just go ahead and get the Rubicon Express 3.5 kit with the new leafs. I found it on ebay for $613 shipped. (same part number)I'm not sure how much they charge for shipping at serious, but I'm sure it more than I would pay on ebay considering it's $590 plus tax and shipping. Also, not wanting to fill out all that BS on their site just to find out how much the total will be.
