Default Help transfer case problem

I have a 93 xj 4.0 auto np232. i just bought a tcase out of the same year jeep with IRO hack and tap. I put it in my jeep and now and a stop in drive it feels like it vibrates and grinds also when im driving it just feels sloppy. also it seems to jump up and down and bounce alot when i hit bumps my rubber mount is good and everything feels tight. but if i lift my tcase from underneath i can push it up like 2 inches??? any help?

First you don't have a np232, no such case. If you can move the t-case up and down then either the tranny mount or motor mounts or possibly both are shot. That or the t-case bolts aren't tight enough and if that's the case hope you haven't driven much cause the input will be shot. Another thing, did your old case have a SYE? If not what kind of shape are the u-joint on the new rear drive shaft?

If you haven't replaced your transmission mount it's probably toasted. Brand new motor mounts will increase wear even more on the ancient transmission mounts. Really they should be replaced all three at a time.

Replace that tranny mount. You shouldn't be able to move your tranny.
