Help with tire wear
Noticed that the outside edge of the front tires is wearing a bit faster then the inside edge of the treads. I rotate tires every year, and this Jeep only gets driven on the weekends.
I had an alignment right after installing the lift.
Is this outside tire wear due to the stock lower control arms? Will upgrading to adjustable LCA help this balance out tire wear? Would a shim in the LCA resolve this just as well?
Thank you,
K

Tire wear on the outside edge of the front tires is a direct result of the total toe being off. Only total toe can be adjusted on an xj. I would have the alignment checked and adjusted as needed just in case it was over looked on the alignment after the lift.
