Alright, I am a newb, but I know I need new wheels. And yes this is another wheel size / backspacing question.

Just want to verify this before I pull the trigger. Any opinions are appreciated.

I have a stock 1998 Cherokee. No lift. Tire size 215/75/15. I plan on keeping it as such. No lifts or bigger tires. This is a pure streetmobile.



I've taken a liking to the silver Cragar soft 8's. Im looking to poke the wheels out a bit more, but nothing crazy. I know 15x8 with 4" bs seems to be the popular default here, but I'm thinking a 4.5"bs might make it a little more aerodynamic and keep it 'more stock' looking.

Which of these two sizes would you say would be better with my tires and setup without rubbing anything :

15x7 with 4.5 bs OR
15x8 with 4.5 bs

i'd say go with this:

15x7 with 4.5 bs

on that skinny of a tire 8" wide rims would look funny. and the 4.5 backspacing should bump them out enough but not too much to make it look funny. stock is 5.25 so its only pushing them out another .75"

would a 15x7 with 4.5bs get the rear wheels at least flush with the fenders?

Nevermind I just found some photos of 15x7's with 4' bs and they're barely flush. Looks like the 4.5 would probably still tuck a little bit. Hmf.
