Did you read the links I posted? No offense or anything, but if you got the same round ones that I tested they were worse than the rectangular ones. Not really any usable beam pattern.

I used an awl to poke a hole in a grommet that was already in there, then I passed a wire through. The rubber was still good enough to shrink down around the wire too. It was sorta behind the master cylinder if you go by on that side.

I got the lights mounted, got all of the wires in the correct place. than realized I was going to need longer wires; so I spliced into the two power wires and got it all set up. decided to test it before going through the firewall, and... the lights won't work. go figure. the light on the switch is working tho. just not the lights. I tried re-splicing the wire that went to the lights and that didn't work. so I'm lost.

If its all wired correctly then you probably have just a bad connection somewhere then. Make sure you dont have any wires crossed

I'm going to go to auto zone and pick up new wire and different splicers. the wire I added was old so I'm hoping new wire will do it.

Make sure they're grounded. You need to make sure that your "ground" is actually grounded to the chassis.

Just did mine. It was a bigger pain than it should have been since I tried to run them through the existing fog lights, but the switch was bad.

I bought some Hella 700ff's. Seem like a good light set up, but the performance with the 55w bulbs isn't great. Switching to 100w's soon to see if it makes a big difference.

The natural elasticity of the rubber shrank it back down. I found a ground under the dash and used that. I wouldn't trust any of the original wiring, just be certain the stuff you have is bad before you go buying new stuff

while I was testing, I used two bolts that are on the side of the radiator, like right in front of the battery. I only have two ground wires. would it make a difference if they're right next to each other? like I said I'm just testing. the one will be moved when I finish everything.

I'm not using any stock wiring.

If you have an ohm meter check for continuity between those bolts and the negative battery terminal. Paint on the radiator mounts, frame etc. may prevent those from actually being grounded.
