Heim End on TRE trac bar..
I bought RC adjustable trac bar with the TRE. Only to find that my stock bracket to the frame flexes causing DW. Anyways, I was just going to buy a heim acceptable bracket and thread in a heim end to my original trac bar. Can I do this? the guy at RC says the bars are too different and it would bind.

The heim will thread in.
The problem is that they don't make a heim joint long enough. The TRE is 5ish inches long and the heims are 3ish inches long, iirc.
Been there, done that.

Go measure the distance between the END of the trac bar (measure from the jamb nut) and the center of the TRE. Report back.
If it's longer than about 2" (which it's going to be, I have the same TB) then a heim isn't going to work.
The only way you're going to be able to put a heim in that bar is if you find a tubing stretcher. Those suckers are hard to find.
