The little thermostatic switch they send you has simple instructions with it. It's adjustable, uses a sufficient relay, and is color coded. I went a different route and wired each fan independently so they come on at increment temps, but don't tell ffdynamics because it'll void my warranty (shhh).

I did a taurus fan swap and rewired my aux fan for not much at all. The low setting on taurus fans is good enough to cool a 4.0l by itself.

Even if it is hot outside(100+), on the freeway(65mph+) you shouldn't need your fans. If you do, your cooling system needs to be looked over......radiator, thermostat, water pump, fluid ratio and condition, etc. Your fans are for when no forced air is cooling your radiAtor. Good luck.

I would say the rad is starting to clog/rot out. Check the radiator on the side closest to the battery, u will probably see the fins/cooling tubes of the rad are turning green, or the cooling fins have already just fell out.

their new shroud is dumb. shrouds only help when they either surround the fan directly at the rad or if they can spread the fan's effect because its not directly on the rad. unfortunately, most electric fans are directly on the rad and all the shroud they have made with that is doing is blocking air from going through when you are at speed. also blocks the little airflow you get when slowly moving or the convective cooling you get while stopped. Its a great idea and looks quite good, but I bet in function it doesnt cool as well. That being said, with 3 e-fans it probably still has no problem cooling with their shroud when its 120* out driving straight up a hill with a trailer
check this out though
