headlight relay help, again
I'm running a Putco harness with Autopals. I blew the relay to the high beams, then bought a new one from NAPA. Then that one blew.
does anyone know what could be causing these relays to keep blowing? I was going to try a higher amperage relay, but besides that, I'm stumped.
Anyone have any ideas?

Your grounds are crap. Common complaint. I used the radiator support bolts for the ground lugs, removed all paint from the brace with a sanding drum on my Dremel, rinsed with brake cleaner, and applied Gardner Bender OX-GARD to it. I measure 0.1-0.2 ohms between the negative battery terminal and the little bit of wire sticking out of the crimp on that eyelet.

Don't trust your safety to chinese or taiwan made crap. clean up your grounds and get some japan made honda relays and worry no more. I got my relays from the junkyard before the harness was shipped.

I think there found in 96- 99ish 2 door civics and like 98-? accords. Run a search on the putco harness upgrade. Somebody posted a complete list of hondas that use the compatable relay. The relay is usually located under the instrument cluster to the left of the steering wheel.
