Default Headlight re-install....need some advanced help!!

I replaced all of the lights on my XJ.....rear, side turn signals and front turn signals. Got one headlight in, and then the other headlight is giving me issues. Specifically, the black piece "cup" or "bucket" has a slot in the top and on one side that slide onto the adjuster screws. I can't figure out how to make this stay in place. It slides off the adjuster screws. There is nothing on the right side of bottom to hold it in place. What am I missing? How to I reinstall this. There is a metal adjuster spring near the bottom right corner, but I don't see how that attaches to anything.

After market replacements? I replaced the headlights on my '93 Laredo with some. If you're having the same issue I had, the 'socket' part on the lens is too small for the ball on the mount/adj bolt. After struggling with it for a while, I noticed the 'socket' could be coaxed out of the lens and reversed. It wasn't perfect, but at least it clicked in. I had to break off one of the little clips that held it in to get it out tho. I didn't think they'd hold, but after I got the top bolt (down thru the radiator support) they were solid.

Yea they are aftermarket replacements....but the issue is the "bucket", I had to remove it due to the retainer breaking. Anyways, I am having issues with the spring adjuster and the screw adjusters......can't seem to get the "bucket" to stay secure at all. It keeps sliding off the adjuster screws and will not stay in place to hold my new headlight securely.
