It won't fit, that's exactly what I wanted to do. The box would be too small for good bass anyways.

If you pay enough!! I had a kenwood (150ish) and it refused to hit bass in anything but high frequencies!! It was so annoying. Nothing would drop and even low hits had the drop of a kazoo! Just sayin, you can get the "cheap" model from a "high quality" company, too.. I say, IMHO, that about 200 bucks is a good starting place for head unit cost... Now, I know there are those of you who say the Wally world special is just fine! And it is!! I agree!! It's totally a fine, cheap component that is made from (usually) inferior, discontinued materials that are outdated and sound good at first but VERY quickly wear out. I spent a minimal amount of money on my set up, but I like things to last, so I got good, name brand stuff. Like 175ish on the pioneer head unit, 65/ea on my two clarion 10's, I think in the neighborhood of 300 on the clarion 180rms amp and a box from circuit city when they were going outta biz for mad cheap... Then with a decent wiring kit (actually went the Wally world route and got a scoshe (sp) wiring kit) for like 40 bucks. Total of aprox. 700, 800ish with new rear speakers. So, yea, it adds up, but so does anything else when done right..

Ok I spent all morning before work trying to get my amp and sub in, something isn't working or I didn't do it right, any suggestions.....here is what's happening, I wired the positive and ground and when it came to the remote wire I put it into the white and black stripped wire like it said, and I wired the sub to the amp but nothing is working?

Did you remove the fuse when you ran the power wire?
If you did, check to see that you put it back.
If you didn't, check to see if you blew the fuse.
Also if you have a multimeter set it to the beeping setting. Stick one lead on the negative side of the amp and the other on the body some where that you don't care about scratching the paint. If the meter beeps your ground is good. If it doesn't you might want to find a different spot or sand it down to bare metal.
Good luck, hope it's something easy.

Is the amp powering up but so sound or does the amp look like it isn't getting any juice? Use a multimeter to check your wires at the amp. Check the hot, ground and also the remote. The remote just sends power to the amp to turn it on when the stereo is on, so that might be the problem. What was the black and white wire labled as? It aught to have a sticker or something on it.
