I bought a dana 44 hp off a 1979 f250 that im swaping into my XJ question is on the previous truck the steering went straight to the drivers side knuckle then the tie rod to the passenger side. What will i have to do or purchase for a steering system to work?

does it have flat top knuckles? if so then read up on cross over and hysteer steering setups.
If it does not then run a inverted T steering from knuckle to knuckle.

The knuckles are flat top style.. but the drivers side is the only side with the 3 studs... do i need to find a passenger side flat top knuckle with the 3 studs?
I used a lot of this info when building my flattop knuckles.

You can take the pass side knuckle off and take it to a GOOD 4x4 shop and have it machined and drilled tapped for studs/bolts. ONLY let a place do it that has done it before! its a great setup.
