Go with some good e-code h4 housings upgrade the headlight harness and throw in some good bulbs unless you intend on doing HID's properly with a Retrofit like above.

IPF H4 housings with an upgraded harness is all you need. You have no need for HID's unless done properly.....

Tom95yj, if you run HID's this way it is 1) illegal and 2) blinding to other drivers.

To the OP, don't bother doing HID's unless you're willing to spend the cash on doing it right or spend the time creating/fabricating a proper retrofit housing.

If you do the H4 housing upgrade and the wiring harness upgrade you'll likely be MUCH happier with your light output. Those two things are on my list of things to do to the XJ.

He wasn't suggesting the OP run HIDs in that setup. You guys said the exact same thing lol. Do HIDs the correct way, expensively retrofitting the proper housings or stick with a standard housing/harness/H4 upgrade.

I guess I misunderstood. I just hate when people do that since it doesn't really do anyone any good so my first response is to ask people not to haha. I'll read a little more carefully next time
