Default H.D. Offroad Engineering no lift relocation brackets

First begin by removing shackle bolt and lower suspension so you have enough room to work. Then cut around all corners of the OEM shackle box.

Put H.D. Relocation box in place and mark through holes for the inside mounting plate and drill the holes.

Install H.D. relocation box and supplied hardware (does not include nutstrips), comes with a 1/4" spacer place so kit can be mounted against frame or below a hitch.

Interior mounting plate also functions as a cage tie in mount.

Use supplied bolt and nut and reinstall shackle in desired location.

As you can see there is clearance for stock shackles.

By using the lower holes you not only receive a better angle but DO NOT lose lift by just moving the shackle forward.

With this style you don't have to lose lift unless you want to, because you are able to move the shackle forward and down at the same time.

What about bolting them on if you have a hitch AND gas tank skid? That's like an additional 1/2" of steel plate (at least) below the "frame-rail".

The kit will come with 2 1/4" spacers that will go between the floor and the top of the bracket should you need them. I was originally only planning on one but most people will probably need 2.

So in short, these do not need to be mounted directly next to the frame.

I ran FEA on these and the weakest location is 3 times stronger than the stock box.
