Sounds good.
I've taken the Jeep through some of the toughest trails in Moab, Sand Hollow in Saint George Utah, and the trails of Northern Utah. It works really well. Current and near future projects on it are, front bumper with integrated winch mount, Rock sliders, rear bumper with tire carrier, full belly skid, full Exo-cage or possibly a hybrid cage by punching through the roof to attach to an external halo. I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze more from the motor by way of a cam, heads, pcm reprogram etc.

The full width axles are really nice and keep it stable. It feels top heavy but I've had it far enough on a side lean that I was pretty much laying on my door and it stuck in there and didn't flop.
Sounds good.

Another reason an interior cage is better than exo is less drag and more mpgs. That is if it is ever driven on the street or if you care about mpgs.

It is a daily driver and that is one of the reasons i keep this debate up with myself...the MPG's and added wind noise. I've never been a fan exist until a wheeled with a guy this summer with one and it was well built and has taken a hammering.

The grand has better seats and power everything. The grand you can get a v8 the 5.2 has 225hp and 300 foot pounds of torque vs the 190hp and 225 foot pounds the 4.0 makes. The rear cargo on the grand is a tiny bit bigger and the rear window opens. If you want more of a off road toy get a xj you want a daily driver semi off road get a grand.A xj weights 3,3557lbs the grand zj inline 6 is 3,574lbs and the v8 one is 3,901lbs

this is a opinionated comparison. but for a build plate form the xj is a better start you have more aftermarket support and a less complicated vechile. zj is a nice vechile but Ive seen to many transmission and electronic issue to every want to come close to it. that being said xj arent much better thats why mine has lights ecu heater radio and puller fans. if the price was the same xj over zj.
