Got my 14 bolt rear!
Just got it couple days ago and got it all torn apart and axles removed it's very solid got a good price on it but any way I'm wondering if I'm stuck with just being able to run a 8x6.5 bolt pattern or can I get axle shafts with the 5x4.5 bolt pattern for this 14 bolt rear

Seriously?
Well I'd imagine that 5x4.5 is no where near big enough to fit around the spindle diameter. And good luck finding a 5x4.5 wheel with a center bore that big. It's an 1 ton axle man what was your plan going into this

If I was able to get axle shafts for this 14 bolt that have a 5x4.5 I'm pretty sure the center bore would be small enough since that's all attached it would just be a jeep bolt pattern on a heavy duty axle shaft....

Might've been a good idea to mention that
I think it is possible, but I'm can't imagine you being able to go smaller than 5x5.5 (haven't checked my facts). But now you're spending money at a machine shop turning a cheap boat anchor into an expensive boat anchor.

That's y I was asking I knew I could buy shafts for it that had the 5x5.5 but just wasn't sure bout the 4.5 looks like I'll be selling some rims too lol

so a kick a$$ ford drop 8 lug axle matched with a SF14? What's the width on your 14? If you're planning for 1 tons why not sure go straight to the 10.5 ring gear. It's going to be an expensive build no matter what why not make it a pair of axles that will last a life time and hold decent resale. Don't try to cut corners

Oh dude... just leave it 8 lug! You'd be able to get the 8 lug H1 beadlocks without having to get custom centers! Plus the fact that the increase in diameter of the bolt circle pattern gives it more strength and decreases the chance of breaking off lugs. There's a reason the wontons are 8 on 6.5.... STRENGTH!

I also ran H2 wheels even without beadlocks down to 12psi with NO issues. I ended up using another pair on my YJ build. They rock!!!

What he said. /. . . . You can also shave the bottom of the 14 bolt to a 13, grind a ton of extra material off around the housing, swap "cheaply" to disks and save even more weight.
