a few months back i purchased a 2000 cherokee limited. 4.0l auto. it has a 3inch rc lift, and an aftermarket front bumper. the only thing it needs fixed is the exhaust manifold, its cracked. stock piping and muffler. im just curious what ya'lls opinions are about what upgrades i should make next, would like a little more power, maybe some rumble from the exhuast, im looking at a cold air intake from k&n right now and flowmaster 40 series possibly? should i buy a new header? or just repair/replace the original manifold? thanks in advance for any advice

Don't do a k&n full intake tube. With the exhaust soon close to the intake systems on these motors there is little to no performance added from it. You would be better to do a "cowl induction intake" like spectre offers online or a snorkel. You will get actual "cold air".
As for the exhaust a 40 series flowmaster sounds very nice one these engines.
If you want more performance look for a bored throttle body and a bigger exhaust header. After the throttle body you can add bigger fuel injectors to compensate. You WILL notice the power from a bored throttle body.
Throttle body spacers are garbage for these engines no matter what people say. They are not designed to benefit from them at all.

im gonna get that intake, it seems like it would work reallllly well. also i was looking into getting my TB bored, and i talked to the head machinist at work, and he said that he's going show me how to do it, and i could do it at work for free. so im pretty stoked, also what size injectors? my work is also a master service dealer for bosch, so i get a pretty good discount.

Don't go bosh for the injectors, there's a lot of people on here that pick up the injectors from jubk yards clean them up to like new and sell them.
I think you will need the Dodge neon Injectors but Google the injector upgrade and it will tell you exactly which ones.

For the intake I'd say Google "spectre Jeep Cherokee intake" and you may just find some on Amazon or elsewhere.
When you bore the throttle body your engine will take 50 start/stop cycles to relearn the newly added performance. The computer then will adjust air/fuel mixture to best fit the extra air getting in.

If you're going to address the cracked manifold, the APN stainless header is only ~$150 and a homebrew cowl intake will run about $30. Just in case you are on a budget.
The above + 703/784 injectors + exhaust would be a good start with a full tune up.

Its a great intake. Its seems to run a little better specially at night, and i like it because the air box doesn't take up all my engine bay! Its got a mean sound at 2200+rpm
