Default Is this a good price for a dana 44

I have a local guy that has a dana 44 with 355 gears and a lockrite locker in it and he is asking 500 obo. im wanting to buy it but also not wanting to pay too much. whats a good price for it with the locker?

D44's run $250 to $600 here, without a locker. Lockers average about $250 new, plus installation or your time. $500 sounds like a good deal to me. If it works buy it!

i have gone out with the local group he offroads with and have seen his xj in action with the dana 44. he said he just pulled it out and was looking to sale it. seeing his xj im guessing he pulled it to put something like a dana 60 in. sent him a message asking his bottom dollar just waiting to hear back from him.

Sounds high to me and plan on replacing the springs in the lockright. If he wheeled it they tend to wear out fairly quick. I was lucky to get a year when I ran them.
