Default Good 8.25 shafts?

I was checking out these shafts for my 8.25, why are they so cheap? are they not as good as Alloy USa, Yukon and the like? Are they made out of the same materials?

Haven't heard many good reports about them but that seems real cheap since a set for 27 splines is almost 300 bucks. Same steel as Yukon and such too.

IDK. I'm just curious why they charge 290 for a set or 85 each. Who would buy the set when you could just buy 2 singles. Gotta be something I'm missing.

They may not be the of the same quality, as the other brands, I've always run Superior and Dutchman Axleshafts in my Other rigs when I regear I will probably buy some Superior shafts at the same time

Superior shafts don't come with studs, but studs are like $5 for all of them. Also you need to grind down the superior shafts because they won't clear the cross pin (unless they changed it in the last year, but I haven't received a response from them). Other than that, mine have been fine. May as well replace the bearings and seals while you're at it.

They are being a bit misleading with the description and image.

The picture shows exactly 1/2 of a Axle KIT with the bearing seal and studs, and the wording kinda leads you to think you get all that. The part number is only a single axle without anything else.

I can do a set of Yukon Axles (no studs or bearings/seal either) for only 25$ more then these. Total is 199$ shipped for a pair of these from Quad. I can do the same price on the ten factory, or as mentioned 224$ shipped for a set of Yukon.

Studs are typically 1-1.50$ ea no matter where you order from. And the bearing kit is 15$ ea side for highest quality Timken bearing, and a seal.

I run the same shafts. Great product made by motive gear. They are great about warranty claims on their parts from all the reviews on the net. Ive never had any issues with them. Yes they only sell them as shafts but studs and axle seals/bearings are cheap anyways.

I wouldnt waste the money on 1541h shafts. They are only minimally stronger than stock.
Have you broken an 8.25 shaft? They are pretty stout.

These are mainly stronger because they are rolled splines.

Ah, ok. That makes a difference, although I have never seen an axle strip a spline. But has anyone broken one? If so where did it break?

I rolled the splines on 3 Yukon axles, two broke in the process at the carrier on the splines. Although that was in a D35. They warrantied them and the last time offered me another set or my money back. Got my money and went to bigger axles.
