What are you looking to gain from it?

 

I also have the Currectlync, seems the flip would bring the tie-rod horizontal and out of the way.
I have heard of those tapered inserts being used on both knuckles. Using a stock drag-link from a RHD,right hand drive, flipped upside down. Instant OTK.

 

Less play in the steering, tie rod further away from the ground, something to do while waiting for unibody stiffeners lol

 

works mighty decent! I ran it welded in (make sure you burn it in hot). a little extra clearance never hurt anyone. in fact, my buddy might even have one that he will ship you for cheap. want me to see if he still has it? PM me

 

Did you notice any improvement with steering? I'm not sure if I'm bought in just yet.

 

I'd say slightly flatter angles are always better. but raising the tie rod alone probably wont be much of an improvement in feel. if you're looking for "better" steering, the currie kit isn't right kit in the first place. strong, definitely. better? nah

all the goferit kit does is get your tie rod up out of the way. or if you could flip both sides (you might be able to do this with currie? idk) that would make for a flatter drag link and therefore slightly better steering (angles)

 

^x2 my thoughts exactly. IMHO the Currie kit is not the way to go. I run serious offroads OTK 1 ton and I love it.

 

yup. you might as well just have a ZJ tie rod and then add the goferit kit. which is what I did. you'll probably burn through TRE's faster but the ZJ tie rod costs about 450 dollars less

I got my currie 2 years ago for 240 so not too bad. I love the currie just looking for little ways to get more responsive steering and get it up out of the way

 

It will get it out of the way. But I honestly don't see it making it more responsive.

Tie rod, not drag link.

 

had this mod done too w/ the zj tie rod, also had new sway bar link brackets welded on 2 " higher to accomodate maybe the currie steering kit in the future. my steering response feels about the same, but tie rod is way higher.about level w/ the top of the axle housing tube. just make sure the flipped tre will clear the wheel, i have 1/8 th inch of clearance, w/ steel 8" wide aftermarket wheels . ive heard some oem alum. wheels may rub the tre, i think a little grinding fixes it or some folks go w/ wheel spacers to keep the wheels they have & not grind the tre. its a worthwhile mod thats not too much money, sometimes the sway bar brackets dont need to be moved up, but its close to the tie rod.
