Default getting rid of the ABS light after switch to Chrysler 8.25 rear axle

Like the title says, I am switching from a Dana 35 with ABS to a Chrysler 8.25 without ABS, and I would like to know how to make sure the ABS light isn't always on. I know it's not a huge deal, but if there's a way to keep it from always being on, that would be cool. I have a 1998 XJ, with the 4.0, np242 TC, Dana 30 front, soon to be 8.25 rear, etc.. I know people have mentioned this before, but if someone has a link to the proper thread, or a good step by step, I would appreciate it. Thank you!

When I had the dash apart for another reason, I crushed the light with a pair of pliers.
Problem solved.

Right on, that's what my friend said, that we could just get rid of the bulb, lol. That may be what we end up doing. Thanks for the input.

Hahaha!
You aughta buy your friend a 6 pack. He's a smart guy.
No need for a trouble light for something you know is never gonna work.

That's why he gets paid the big bucks, haha! I'm still a noob at this, so I'm still learning, ya know? It's all starting to make sense though. This forum has definitely helped a lot.

I did the same thing with the airbag, brake, and check engine bulbs.

You could always just pull the abs relay and fuse. Doesn't require removing the cluster to get to the bulb.

Don't waste your time pullin your dash apart. Pull fuses. I did the swap a few months age. Great upgrade.

Done.

You'll wheel with a piece of mind after the swap. Now you gotta find HP D30.

for whatever reason when I swapped clusters all those lights came on. I hadn't put the dash back together yet so I simply wrote down what was lit up and removed it. the original cluster didn't have light one lit up.

You're lucky. I had to get a HP 30 & 8.25, then add lockers & gears then install them. Took me over a year to do it all.

Good luck, my big concern was always the ABS. I couldn't get good clear answers. I'm glad the pictures helped , that's why I snapped them.

Good luck
