I've read a lot and still not sure what to go with. I have a 93 Cherokee 5 speed and running a 6.5 lift with 33's that are bald -_-. We'll I wanna get a set of 35's Dick Cepek Crushers (what's your opinion on them) and not sure what gears to go with. I use it as a daily driver but don't plan on it soon. I do mainly woods riding and slow crawling just haven't ventured into rocks yet. What gearing would you prefer. I'd say eithe 4.46 or 4.88?

Next question my stock steering is about shot and starting to get a hint of death wobble. I wanna upgrade my steering but don't have 500 with over knuckle $500 dollar steering. I already have a drop pitman arm. I looked into v8 grand cherokee upgrade but I seen some say only good or 4.5 an lower??? Go with a crossover for the steering, the stock inverted y style is garbage. Also if you don't have a track bar drop bracket (I hope your track bar is an aftermarket double shear at 6.5"...) the drop pitman will throw off the angles causing bump steer. You want the drag link and the track bar to be as close to parallel and the same length as possible. Here is my setup. Steering and track bar from Froehlich suspension tech, 2.5" lift
As for gears, 4.88 would be ideal for 35s but a 4.88 dana 30 pinion is tiny and could break if you wheel hard. 4.56 is the deepest I'd gear a dana 30 because of that, and a 30 is going to break on 35s regardless (hopefully just shafts)

I call BS, I have wheeled the **** out of my 30 on 35's locked. Get chromo shafts with 760-x u joints with full circle clips and a d30 will last a long time

Stock shafts though. Also depends on terrain and how you drive. I broke a d30 u joint on bald 31s open in snow last year.

What year d30? And I have wheeled in a lot of different terrain, I even wheeled on 33's locked for about a year on stock shafts and I didn't break.

A D30 will handle 35s, just ask odgreen89on35s. So you'll be fine unless you plan on building a hardcore rock crawler.

A good set of 4.88 would do you great on 35's. Thats what I'm running Locked and a hell of alot more guys as well. Ya i do have a auto but i was on 32's for a wile and loved it with the 4.88.

if you cant spend 500 on steering, how can you afford 35s? and gears?

We'll as I said I don't wanna spend 500 of steering but if someone would tell me what type of steering for this size lift it would help out. I am trying to get others opinion not someone like u telling me this..

the 4.88 pinion has less teeth than the 4.56. I've seen multiple of these break on 35's.. no one seems to believe that it makes a difference but I am starting to see a correlation here. never seen a broken 4.56 though

I ran 35's and the grand Cherokee tie rod for a month or two. complete crap. I upgraded immediately. anything less than 1 ton tie rods will go bad very fast. and especially at 6.5" you need OTA OTK

at 6.5" you should have some sort of OTK lift or crossover.

I just ordered the Currie Setup after getting sick of the Rustys one you linked eating TRES. I have not put it on yet but I am pretty sure it will work much better. I would avoid the Rustys if you can afford a better one. I was also looking at the IRO kit but I usually have to drive 200/300 miles on the interstate to go wheel and have been told by multiple people/reading that heim joints have more play in them and is not really suitable for high speeds on the road.
