Default Gearing question

So I'm going to be getting either 32s or 33s. I know best gear ratio is 4.10 for 32 as 4.56 for 33. But if I went 4.56 with 32s... What's the pros and cons?

For wheeling that would be a pretty low gear so that's good, highway driving would suck. It would probably be turning 2900 rpm at 70 lol

Worse gas mileage on the interstate but really good take-off

4.10s and 32s will be very close to stock. And driving that much highway that's probably what your going to want.
Unless you don't care about highway mpg and want the lower gears for city driving and wheeling, then go 4.56. Really it's up to you man

The 4.56 gear would be a better choice than a 4.10 if its a true 32"'s and you will NOT be turning 2900 rpm either. I would seriously doubt if it made 1 mpg difference between the 2 gears with the 32" tires.

the more I look into it many people are saying to stay away from 4.56 and 32s... It's hard on the most

I'm gonna have to say that's not true. Higher engine rpms are better than engine bogs is what iv always gone by.
I'll agree with Fred that it won't make to much of a gas mileage difference if your running true 32s. But stock will be closer with 4.10s like I said.
The cool thing about 4.56s with that small of tire would be acceleration and crawling. That's a low ratio. I'm running 4.88s and 35s. I'm spinning 2600 rpm at 65. I would not be surprised if you ran 2700-2900 rpm at 65 with 4.56s.
In all honesty I would go 4.56. Becuad if you find yourself wanting to bump up in tire size a couple inches you wouldn't have to 're gear. You would want to if you only had 4.10s.
It's all up to you, brother

^^^HMMMM?

I have Yukon 4.56 in my Cherokee with the AW4 auto and its fun.
Highway speeds Decent on gas/rpms. Around town real peppy, wheeling is good also.
Here is a VID I made showing how the Jeep acts on the HWY with Goodyear MT-R 32x11.5x15.
When I hit the passing gear near the end of vid I was going up a incline.
I went 4.56 so if I want to go to 33" tires, I wont have to regear..

Informative video!! What's your gas mileage like?
Making the jump from 31's to 33's in about a month. It's my dd and run 80 miles a day for work mostly hwy and hit the trails a few times a month. I live in CA and gas sucks!! Right now I get 15-16 mpg with an AW4 and 3.55 on 31's.
