Default Full Traction 4 link. Which steering?

The previous owner installed a 6" Full Traction Jeepspeed 4 link and Rustys Steering. Bump steer is really bad with this setup. What does everybody recommend for a Steering setup that I won't also have to change the track bar? I think a stock style Steering would bring the drag link more parallel with the track bar. If that's the case, the Currie kit is probably the way to go.

What does everybody recommend for steering for the Full Traction long arns?

The problem is the track bar is mounted really low. A pretty large drop pitman arm would help. Or replace the frame side trac bar bracket. Or otk steering.

Im asking for first hand experience with this kit.

Raising the trackbar would make it worse. OTK steering might make it better.

If I can get away with ZJ steering for the time being I will be happy. I plan on doing the WJ brake upgrade and 1 ton steering with matching trackbar in the future but first I need to take care of problem areas.

The problem is a difference between the angle if the tracbar and drag link. It has nothing to do with your kit specifically.

Zj steering will do nothing to fix your angles. Wj would help. Draw a line between the center of the joint for each bar. Adjust the line until they are parallel that will tell you what you need to adjust. Raising the tracbar frame side will help that angle. Lowering the steering there will also help. And the opposite on the other end.

Sure looks like the steering may have been installed improperly to begin with.
Looks like the connecting tre from the drag link to tie rod should be on top.

Never the less, its getting replaced. Just havent had much time to mess with it. Dunno why someone would spend the money on a Full Traction lift kit and skimp out on steering.

To do that properly he would have to raise the track bar mounting on the axle and he doesn't wanna do that.

He wouldn't have to as he already dropped the frame side.

You might be right. His angles may be kinda close. Wouldn't know for sure if it's perfect until it were done.

for reals? a $450 steering kit is the bit of information that you were waiting to hear? you sure you have bumpsteer? I'd just flip the tie rod over and run it over the knuckle. that would give you closer angles

so you don't even have to google: http://www.goferitoffroad.com/products.htm
