Default Full leaf packs or AAL?

I was planning on getting a 3 inch lift on my 2000 cherokee soon and I can't decide on what to do. To summarize my current leafs they are bending a little in the opposite direction they should..sagging hard. Obviously I don't want to do AAL with my current leafs so I was wondering if it would be cheaper/better to buy brand new stock leafs and then get an AAL kit or just buy a kit with full leaf pack? Thank You!

I've asked this before(naxja) and either way is about the same on price so the question is why pay that much when you can upgrade to better leafs?

I would either use new stock leafs, Longer quality shackles and 1.5" blocks. Or get new leafs. Depends on if you still want a soft ride. IF you don't care, then get the new 3" leafs. Simple and it raises your jeep 3"

Then why has my full length BDS AAL been fine for 3+ years?

Because I've seen plenty of springs that should've hit the scrap pile because they were shot and inverted. But they get used anyway for an AAL lift.

Everyone is crying the no money blues, including me. But I still saved my money and got leaf packs when I did my lift because they were 34 years old and inverted.

thats why the op posted about getting NEW stock springs and a AAL, it wouldn't have been a band aid for him

I misread the post then. Get packs. My opinion still stands. Get the springs you want. It don't make sense to get new stock packs then add a AAL.

Mine has been fine as well. And I tow.

That said, i still recommend full leaf packs. Mine rides great, not stiff at all, but i'm sure that a full pack would ride even better. And don't skimp on the shocks, that's where the golden ride is.

I posted awhile ago about my rear having very poor travel. It turned into a pretty informative thread about packs and adding leaves and such. Alot of info, but good nonetheless.

Coincidentally I'm looking to stay a 3-4" of lift, but I'm aiming for the best I can manage.

i know you said either new stock leaf packs and aal or just some 3' packs. however some guys run a xj/xj built leaf pack and get about 1.5"-2" then run a longer shackle to get them around the 3"ish lift area. its not expensive to do that
