Default fuel milage is crap!

Ok so i have a newely build stroker motor and here in the past week i am using like $20 a day in fuel.
Ok this is confusing the hell out of me. I get a Bank 1 system to lean Code. But if i floor it i get big cloud of black smoke out the exhuast.
I had checked for Vac leaks, changed out my tps cuz it also cuts out a lil at certain spot in the throttle and also the MAP. When it cuts out it feels like a misfire i have put OE plugs in it and still no change. Have also checked CKP CMP pick up and wiring to comp.
I do have the ford 24#/ hr injectors. New.
I will check fuel psi tomorrow but when i first started the new motor it was at about 47 psi.
I am stumped here and could use some help.

x2 on the break in.

Did you replace the O2 sensor? Have you tried asking or searching at jeepstrokers.com?

remember an O2 sensor doesn't sense fuel. If you have a cylinder that isn't firing or a manifold leak the O2 sensor will interpret that as lean and dump fuel in that bank to compensate.

I would assume that the stroker would get not as good mpg's as the stock engine

I might drive 5 miles to work. so about 20 miles a day Ish.
As for break in time it has about 700 miles on it now. the gas mileage has just went to crap in the past week. and it went to crap from one day to the next. One day drove 100 miles and i was loaded down on a hilly road and then next day i went about 80 miles on a flater road and wasnt loaded and both times i used a half tank of gas.
I did find a Vac leak. i kept over looking it cuz i had a small air filter on it. The hose on the front of the valve cover i just put a filter on since i took out the stock air box. I caped off that leak and now i dont have a huge cloud of smoke out the exhaust any more and i just put in some gas and drove home friends house and my check engine light came back on. Not sure what it is yet but im guess it is still the same thing.
I was told that i can use propane to help me find vac leaks. Has anyone tried this?

Distributor indexed correctly? Pulled spark plug to see if running rich/lean? What grade of fuel are you running. There are many variables..

If you reset the ECU, I may not have relearned yet. Ae you able to flow more air in and out to match your stoker need and your 24#/hr injectors?

Make sure you clear the codes in the ECU....that would sure be causing some major problems.....

What is the MILE PER GALLON? Fuel 47 psi sounds way too high, should be somewhere aroung 38-39, I think. Cat or no Cat? Propane, starter fluid, wd40 or even water can be spray at stuff to test for air leaks.

I was getting around 12 mpg on 35's, and had some issues running rich. I changed my o2's cleared my codes, and nothing changed. My buddy brought over a better code scanner, we checked the code, my grounds were bad on the o2 sensors. I made a new ground for them, cleared the codes again, I'm up to SIXTEEN mpg ON 35's. I'm getting 280+ miles per tank now. Even better when she kicks into overdrive correctly on the freeway, which it likes to not do sometimes because of the tire size.

You may be into something like this, where o2's are the problem, but it's not just a bad o2 sensor. I would try getting the codes read, with a better reader, and see what you come up with.

^^ This - check for leaks in the exhaust manifold
