Default fuel injector ??? "710's"

Went to junk yard today. Nabed 6 710 injectors out of a police cruiser with a 4.6 in it. Also got 10 703 injectors.

What i want to know is what do i have with the 710's? Are they good injectors? I've seached them and found nothing yet.

Should i just go with the 703's that i have??????

They list them here:

http://www.usrallyteam.com/content/p...ector_data.xls

The ...710 EV6 have a lower wide open flow rate than the 703s and use a higher resistance coil.

How much boost are you running? I may have a set of ...155 811 injectors that would be better suited if you are really pushing some power. They calculate out to 35 lbs/hr.

I have'nt put the turbo on it yet. I just got the truck. I used to have a yota that i ran t3/t4 on with 12 psi. It was sick... I'm new to the jeeps and just trying to learn what I can for now..

So should I just run the 703's until I boost the jeep...

should i try to sell the 710's/

Yeah, I would sell the 710's. They would be a bad match comming from a 4.6 liter V8 to a 4.0 liter I6. Not enough flow for each cylinder to keep it happy.

As for running the 703's, I have no experience. I did a swap this morning to a later version of the 703's that have lower dynamic flow rate. The Jeep started right up, warmed up, idled good, and after 10 minutes of driving, I was able to slowly go throuth all 5 gears on level ground without touching the gas petal. I would say that they have improved my low end (<1000 RPM) performance.

Down the road, you may want to visit the Megasquirt site for the correct calculation for injector size baased on horsepower targets. I put a MS on my 72 SB Chevelle, and the info therre helped alot.

710's will work, but 703's are a better bet. Do the 703 swap and reset your ECU afterwards.
