this. I didn't enjoy fighting it the whole time. a lot of trails are mild enough where 1 locker is plenty sufficient. the turning radius of the front was bad I was making 3 point turns all over the place. rear is the way for me. but locked/locked was amazing

I've seen a MU50 (brazilian version of CJ5) with Powertrax at both axles doing pretty amazing things. Just have some problems to turn.

I after reading a lot will put a selectable lock at the front and depending in the rear axle swap a selectable locker (F 8.8) of full locker (C 8.25).

I'm running Aussies in the front and rear. It is harder (but tolerable) to turn in 4 hi and very difficult to turn in 4 lo. The ground has to be either very loose or slippery in order to turn without it being extremely tight. I DD mine and as long as I have it in 2wd it's great.

Also, I'm running 33x10.5's if that adds any info.

Locked front and rear is definitely tougher. Locked in the front and open in the rear is easier because you are not dragging a rear wheel around a turn. Compared to fully locked.

Locked front if you are in 4x4 is harder to turn than a locked rear in 4x4!

We ride a lot of 4-wheeler trails around here and in 4 low front locked hard to navigate around the trees constantly. Rig wants to go straight.

Thats what I run on and why I carry a hand saw with me. I am just barely squeaking by the trees. To be completely honest. I can not tell a difference in steering between locked and unlocked. Quite possibly my skinny tires

All I know is its a breeze to turn. I have a spartan front locker.

Powertrax in D30 with Posi Loc cable Disco, NP231, lots of on road, never feel it, use the Disco in tight when in 4x4, easy for tight turns then re-engage for the lock. With the disco front ujoints are small, greased often yet, I do replace the axle u-joints up to 2X yearly, worn out but prior to breakage.

I'm fixing to Lincoln lock my rear and go the cheap way. But my rig is dedicated offroad and isn't streetable at all. In the snow and mud I'd think a locked rear would be the best. Crawling and super flexing out a locked front would come in handy.
