ok so with the fact im lifted 6.5" LA with tom woods rear and stock front what are we looking at here? same issues? or time too look in a different direction?

ok, i jumped underneth and did this and its def not my joints the entire Y shapped thing moves and the part of my shaft going from the Y shapped thing into the pumpkin is where all the play is.

Oh..... you should start by checking your pinion nut. Can't remember the exact procedure off hand but you'll wa.t to look it up!

yea someone told me to do that, i dont have a socket big enough to do it myself gotta wait a day or 2 till me and my buddy can both find some free time.

do you know how dangerous it both safty wise and for your rig (breaking anything) to drive it with play in the yoke? thanks.

so taking it off will resolve all issues until i have time/funds to further investigate the issue?

Won't hurt... mine hasn't had problems but I haven't even checked the pinion pre load. Slipped my mind. Just make sure its tight enough you can't loosen it by hand if possible and you'll be ok.

just crank it tight youll be replacing pinion bearings soon enough anyway
