found some rock slides.

So I found a set of rock slides on CL for 85 bucks. They look like they are just square tube. The guy says he has them bolted on but I can weld them on if I want. What do u guys recommend.

all depends on setup of your rig and how strong the unibody is (if youve strengthened it at all) and depends on if you wanna take em off to paint or anything. mine are bolted on and no issues yet been on about a year now and taken some hard hits on rocks

i mad my own rock sliders out of box tubing, ill have to dig a pic up. i was going to bolt them on but when i was mocking them up to make markings for the holes on the subframe. . . i got impatient and welded them on the spot lol. totaled that xj and ground off the welds and switched them to the next. and i did notice a difference in how stiff it was. pulling into a drive way at an angle i could tell it felt a little more solid. welding is a bit easier to do bolting is a bit more removable lol. depends on what u want to do and whats easiest for you..
