Default Fog lights on factory switch

I have an 01 sport and I want to put fog lights on it. It has the factory switch and wiring with a connector that is run to below the front bumper. But there are no lights down there. Should I cut the connector off and splice to my fog lights? Also, will the factory wiring be sufficient? It looks like 18/g so i wasn't sure...

Go to the JY and get a set of OEM units and plug them in! I think I spent $20 for mine as they were MIA when I got the Jeep.
