First post, serious question, naive twenty year old...
So I am new to these forums, I have owned my 89 Jeep Okee' for about six months, and in all honesty I would most likely not even be on here if I had not broken it, but since I have seen the possibilities that can be done with it, I have more interest.
The problem;
About a month and a half ago I crashed my jeep into a rock barrier (four foot round cement block). I messed up the right front portion of my jeep, and have replaced; the radiator, upper and lower controlling arms, sway bar link, and some cosmetics. After replacing all of this I started it up and it turns on fine, the problem is that my steering is quite messed up. When I try to turn it to the LEFT it will only turn 1/4th the way it should, when I turn it to the right, it turns more than it should. I have taken a closer examination and it looks like the steering box must have had some damage to it when I crashed, it is leaking, and just does not look like it is working properly.
I was curious if anyone else knows what may be the problem here, aside from the box being broken.
Also, as a side note, I am very interested in making my jeep more of a Jummer if you will (chopped back) and any help on the topic would be appreciated.
I greatly appreciate the help, and I thank you in advance.

I know that it is broken, I am just not exactly sure if that is the ONLY thing that is broken, or what else I might take a look into, and what exactly is it called so I may look for a replacement?

Easiest thing to do is take it to a alginment shop and have them look at it. Could be a bent trackbar, busted gear in the box, bent tierods or drag link. Take it there have them look at it, and post what they say, and or the specs that they gave u.
