A question though. Since my new front axle will have locking hubs. Is there anyway, lets say in the winter time, I can leave the axle locked and still be able to use the 4x4 shifter from inside the cab? I know the front driveshaft spins while your in 2wd, but what is causing the drive shaft to spin? The axle diff, or the transfer case?? In order to leave my axle locked and not engaged, I'm thinking I need a transfer case that doesnt allow the front drive shaft to spin until i shift it into 4x4 from 2wd. Ideas on this??
Thanks,
Thanks,

Front shaft spins because of the front diff. It doesn't affect anything because it isn't ingaged to the t-case. I rarely ever unlock my hubs and my front is locked. Unless I'm in 4wd you don't notice the front locker. Hope this helps.
