1. it WAS a 4.0. now its a 4.9 stroker (they did their numbers wrong
)
2. It is in a jeep, just not in those pictures
3. Not exactly sure what your point is in this thread. If i recall correctly a guy called Bennie at Hesco made around 750 hp when he dyno'ed his "4.0"

the point of this thread is in the title. I would like to know the fastest 1/4 and 1/8 times in a 4.0 cherokee.
if you have some actual times for other jeep I6s thats cool and would help the thread, but im looking for the fastest 4.0L/242in^3. especially those in a xj.

Most power stock block? I believe goes to this man.
He posted better numbers than in the video on jeepstrokers.com! Believe it was 13#'s, head gasket pushed out, number 5 piston broke. Intake charge temps in the 200* or better range!
The 4.0s are good for about 8psi stock block, with a good air fuel controller. With no controller, or one that doesn't read boost, your looking at about 6psi. Water/Meth injection is guarnteed power on these 4.0's, because it will cool the intake charge considerably..which will help save the motor by fighting off detenation & make more power via colder air!
8psi, ported head with Ls1 valve train, & a tighter quench height would be awsome with 8psi and meth!
