Default Factory roof rails

I want to remove my factory roof rails how do I do it and what do I plug the holes with

Knock the plastic end caps off, remove the cross bars, unbolt both sides. Clean any dirt and crap off threads, put a small bead of RTV around base of screw head and replace in Rivnut.

Whoe now, I like the new one for the tech, never said I liked the outside, headlights are aweful looking

I don't think the look would be effected that much... but they aren't gonna be too hard to go back on if you change your mind. Why do you wanna take them off?

Yea, don't just "knock them off". They are held on by a torx screw, that hold the main rails down. 1 for each cap. Take out the torx screw, loosen about 1/2 way the next torx screw up the rail and then you can pull the plastic caps off. Then you just slide the cross bars off the end.
