Default engine swap

I purchased a 2000 scout yesterday with a non repairable block 4.0...one hour later I purchased a 1991 4.0 ho, my question is will the 1991 be a bolt in swap. will I run into computer and wireing problems. the 2000 head has a bent valve and I think it can be repaired.
yes this is my first jeep... very clean with no rust,

First off, 2000 Scout?? Are you speaking of the International Harvester Scout SUV or the boat?? As far as I know, Jeep never manufactured a "scout" model. Now I will say a 91 motor will not bolt right up to a 2000 drive train. Too many differences. I guess we need more info on what exactly your vehicles are. Good Luck!!

i think what he is asking is if a 91 xj 4.0 will work in a 2000 xj. yes it will, but you will have to swap over a lot of things over from the bad motor to the replacement motor
