Engine, Fan, Radiator clearence?

Engine, Fan, Radiator clearence?
I want to get some opinions. I currently have up to 1.5 inches of space between the stock fan pulley and my electric fans. I'm thinking about a thicker radiator. Worst case I will be down to 3/4in. More likely it will be 1 1/8in. Assuming motor mounts etc are NOT worn out: would you be comfortable with that amount of space?
