I will be the strange person. I'm looking to do a 4 cylinder Cummins diesel when the new generation being co developed with Nissan is released in the next couple years.

I will also be looking for this. They have a UK Version 2001 XJ with 73000 miles on it with a Limited trim package and a 2.5 TDI 5 speed on Ebay for the UK right now. It was up to $7200 last I checked it last night

AMC/Chrysler 360 V8 or a REAL Hemi, not the "new" Pentroof motors that are passed off as Hemi's. Not saying they're bad engines, just they're not Hemis but rather designed to look like them.

I just meant that if it wasn't ever really a Chrysler vehicle, no need to keep a Chrysler "bloodline" engine like other's were saying.

I think the LS is the lighter if the 2 if weight is a consideration. And what about the stress on the non-frame?

I have done a few LS swaps and the aftermarket support for the swaps are readily available. Its gotten to the point ware pretty much just a little bit of know how and anyone can swap an LS in anything with in reason. Also the cost of a pull out LS is crazy cheap rite now. You can score a lq9 with decent miles for less then you can build a nice first generation small block. But either way you go I think if done rite you would really enjoy the attention it would grab at jeep events.
