A/C on drains voltage with the electrical fan on or off. Seems to act normal with a/c off and electric fan on. But temp rises a little.
I think Compressor related. Does it on defrost aswell when compressor kicks on. A/C blows cold but there is an issue there. I agree I could be an issue with the factory wires for the A/C fan. I will check that tomorrow.

AC compressor bearings could be going out. Unless its stalling your alternator, I doubt it would make a difference.

Your right. But after the crap I have had to figure out anything is very possible.

I had a bad alternator. But I had a full charge on battery. Drove the jeep into the bay and shut it off.

Replaced the alternator. Tried to start the jeep, would not start at all. Long story short. Cam sensor went bad. At that exact time.

LOL after that I never assume anything.

Have had similar things happen to me. What I have to admit is those coincidences are normally a screw up on my part without knowing it or explainable with enough thought. The main reason for this thread. Its has gotten me to thinking lol.

IE. How I would look at your Alt/CPS failure at the same time. I would guess that the CPS was bad but not showing any issue due to the fact that there wasn't much back feed power, due to bad ALT. Once Alt was replaced the power was restored and killed the CPS for good. Not sure if there would be a way to prove it or not but I do hate the unexplained. lol

What I am going to check in the morning.

I am going to find my old working Multi-meter (left my fluke on the tongue of my trailer wiring up lights and it got trampled by both axles lol) and pull some readings and see when the big draw is happening.

I am going to wire stock A/C fan to stock wiring and see if that changes anything.

If still nothing definitive unhooking all wires from the electric fan install, and see if A/C is still pulling the power.

Hopefully I can isolate the issue and its something simple. I would like to keep my A/C but I am ok if it has to go lol.

Dont blame you on replacing.

I had a bare plug wire at same time a cps failed. I was highly upset on first start after replacing and it was running like crap. I know I lost a 3/8 extension across the yard lol. Then I was standing there pouting and noticed the bare wire. Then it was all good. Never did find that extension.
