I have death wobble with my new 33s, but not with my old 31s.

Does everyone reckon it's going to be normal death wobble but the 33s make it noticeable??

Can I get an alignment done with the 31s and them once I put the 33s on it will be aligned still?

Yes I searched

death wobble can also be caused by tires being improperly balanced so your 33's probably aren't balanced right.

They have just been balanced, not a gram out on either side...

I swapped the wheels around and it didn't make a difference ( with the 33s)

Wait so the wheels that were balanced for the 31's were swapped onto the 33's?

Sorry, not clear!

33s on brand new pro comp wheels (tires are 33/12.50/15)

31s on standard Cherokee wheels!

A year ago I had the same problem. I have 31s and had them on 15x8.5 rims with 3.5 backspacing. I always had horrible death wobble with those. So I put my stock rims back on. I still got it a little bit, but now I can't even remember the last time it happened to me. So I think the problem lies in the rims' offset.

Well I have a 4" offset on mine, I hope it's not that! I thought a 4" offset is fine...

Doubt it. MMMAAANNNNNYYY folks use offset rims all the time.

Yours was probably just made worse by the offset. Maybe balljoints or something that was only bad enough to be shown by the offset or something.

Stock is 15x7 with 5.5" BS, so that's 1.5" of rim sticking out beyond the hub. An 8" wide rim would be perfectly centered with 4" of BS. Anything wider and you'll be sticking more tire out past the hub giving bumps more leverage on your steering and suspension.

Which will pronounce underlying issues.

Pretty much what I was thinking...
