My pump burned up and seized, I already had a York under the hood so this was a cheap quick and easy fix.

Exactly. In my application my a/c didn't work and I got tired of recharging it just for 3 hot months. Here in Illinois it doesn't get too hot anyways. Secondly there is a nice weight savings with the dummy pulley swap. (Ill weigh everything I took out and post the numbers) I know its not going to make much of a difference but less weight on my front end is a good thing since I put my winch on. The space I gained in the engine bay was truly significant. I can now do a double battery setup, or have room for a centrifugal s/c which I still plan on doing in the coming years. There's a lot more room for working with your hands in there too. Lastly, air flow to the radiator is more direct having removed the condenser.

I mean its a Jeep..do we really need a/c? Drop the top, put down all the windows, remove the doors and feel some air.
