Drving in Creek Bed
Last night my buddy and I were driving on the little Resovoir/ creek. we got stuck and waited awhile for another buddy of ours to pull us. It was dried up almost all the way just a small stream left. I just want to know if its illegal to do cause its really fun besides the soft spot we got caught in.

It goes down so far in the summer/fall and its just calling to go out there. I got a good cop in our area. i'll ask him. We thought we were for sure gonna get impounded last night cause the toyota came to pull us out with straight pipes and its 10:00 by houses. He got stuck for a second hten got out but he had mud terrains we had all terrains.

More than likely its illegal through the fisheries department. If you were seen by a Game Warden, you probably woud have received a ticket (or at least a verbal warning). Not sure the exact law or the wording of it, but disturbing free flowing waters is usually a no-no. Logging companies up here in Maine are fined HUGE money if a skidder drives through even a trickle of free-flowing water. Standing water and a drainage ditch are one thing, but free-flowing, naturally occurring water is another. If you drove in a stream and tore up the bed, you could get the hammer dropped on you something fierce if you were caught.
