Default Drop Pitman Arm????

Ok so I have a 96 Cherokee, lifted either 3 or 31/2 inch? not sure really sure... Anyway I have a problem with my front end.... I have mild bump steer but my biggest concern is my front tires are wearing very fast on the outer edge (pass more so then driver side) I was told by a garage that I need a 3" drop Pitman arm to correct both problems. My question is..... 1 are they correct? And if so where can I get a 3" one? I have searched but only found for 4"- 8" lifts..... Help!!! Lol

Sounds like your tires are toed in and it was never aligned after the lift install.
What the shop means is there is not enough adjustment to safely align it.

As for finding a arm for a 3"lift.. I'm sure somebody has an answer cause I don't at the moment.

Ok I will check but should I put a drop Pitman arm on? Do I need one or is it just an option?

Optional, if you put a dropped arm in, you will most likely need a different track bar because the angles are not in line and would make bump steer worse.

+2 on the toe being out. Have them set the toe and center the steering wheel. I do these for a living, it's not rocket science to work on these.

@jbsjunk
I already have an adjustable track bar installed.. When I bought the jeep the person before me put on a stupid drop track bar mount..... Can you guess how lung that lasted? Lol not very... Anyway with that broke I decided to just but an adjustable on so if I ever wanted to go bigger I would already have the track bar and it's a beffier one too

But I guess I will have a shop do an alignment on it and see what comes of it

Thanks fellow jeepers

If you want to try the ZJ pitman arm I have one ready to go in a box,
I'll sell it for 20$ plus shipping.

Let me know.

It depends if the pit man arm will help theyre mainly designed to keep the drag link and track bar parallel with each other you want them at the same angle
