I would think you would be fine. I plan on doing something just like that. I've got some buddies that are harco deputies, I'll be asking around soon. also a cousin who's a state trooper, and I'll ask him as well. you also need to join the Maryland Jeepers over in the north atlantic section. lots of good people/M&Gs/Info/wheeling

No doors=badass and awesome. Cant beat the free flowing air feeling with the doors off, and you wouldnt believe how much more you can see. Guess its more for those who need the extra sight, or those of us who dont like to use the A/C

On that note though, when I cage mine this summer ive got to plan my interior brace a different way so I still have access to my back seat.

Remove the back windows. That 3rd and 4th door make things a bit easier.

I have a two door, and when the Jeep can become a dedicated trail rig instead of a DD, I want to pull the back windows and put in a strap mesh

LOL mine hasnt seen the ON position in like a year, especially since the 4 bangers didnt come with electric fans.. So if the A/C is on, the clutch fan is on.

I rigged up some ghetto wiring so I don't have to wire my doors up in the kickpanel everytime I put them back on....

The wire goes from the window to a switch I replaced my cig lighter hole with lol so I have wires sticking out from my doors

****s cash

i know this is reviving a pretty old thread but for anyone out there driving doorless i just have a few questions.
1.) have you ever had stuff stolen or had stuff fly out of the jeep while driving?
2.) doesnt it feel eery to not have a door there? does it feel like youre going to fly out of the jeep?
3.) my wheels stick out of the fenders a slight bit so it slings small rocks against the side of my jeep, have any of you ever been hit by these small debris because youre doorless?

thanks

There aren't downsides to having a doorless XJ. I was on the fence about doing it, now that I've done it, it feels odd when I put the doors back on. put stuff in your center console or glove box, and you're good. Won't lose anything. Debris isn't a concern for my XJ at least, never had a problem. Never had stuff stolen.
