yeah I know, I'm actually probably going to become a Harco Deputy, and right now I got some buddies in the agency, but I'm pretty sure long as I have mirrors I'm good. Ganna ask around though to make sure as a I dont want to get a ticket because I plan on being a cop.

I don't see why the cops would mess with you. What's different between a Doorless XJ and doorless TJ?
In PA you can only be doorless if the vehicle comes from the factory that way. You aren't allowed to modify your hinges to make it that way.

I'm sorry. I couldn't live there. I'd be in jail by now.

i have cops all the time pull up next to me and compliment me on the no doors. i have been pulled over with no doors but it was for speeding and the cops took some pics haha. i also dont run any mirrors because in IL the law states that you need atleast one mirror and the rearview mirror on the windshield counts as your one mirrror. they have never questioned me before when i got pulled over.

I had a lady cop stick her head in my jeep to make sure my mirrior was on. Everything was good from there.

Heres some pics of my cover. Its not the nicest cover in the world, but it only cost $20 and it works. Takes about 5 min to put up.

what about falling out in a roll over situation? never understood the doorless and/or chopped look. i guess its a want to be wrangler thing but to me it seems silly. i suppose there is some advantage to being able to look at what you are driving over but besides that i see no positives to it, especially in a driver

You could do tube doors if you were that worried about falling out. But I've been passenger in a light rollover while doorless and my seatbelt contained me fine. Just know where you need to brace yourself and don't flail your arms and legs around like an idiot.

And I consider the visual advantage of being able to see more a HUGE positive

I agree, it'd be silly to chop a DD. Having the doors off from time to time while driving is fun but serves no purpose.

Now, on the other hand... Having a doorless, chopped XJ strictly for a trail rig is freakin amazing. Being able to see 359 degrees is awesome!

worried about falling out, put a seat belt on and you will stay in. i have almost rolled 3 times down some big hills while doorless never fell out because the seat belt kept me and my girlfriend in our seats
