I gotta ask you, what did you pay for this thing? And, did you know what was wrong with it when you bought it? And, finally, what kind of fab skills do you have? I know you just bought it (now), but I'm telling you, it isn't worth it, man. I weld/fab for a living...you're gonna need to pull the floor pans out for replacement, I'm assuming, and once you get into the backside of the uniframe rails, you're going to find a **** ton of rust in there.
If you're completely bent on doing it, more power to you, but my advice to you is stop dumping money into it, like brakes and general maintenance, until you know EXACTLY what you have on your plate, and if you have the skills/time/money to repair it.
I paid $400 for it. I bought it knowing it would need the floor panels replaced, that was pretty clear when I got it. The frame-rail didn't happen until later, which is quite a bummer. But, I am going to start pricing things out to see if it is worth it. If it ends up to not being worth the price (I have plenty of time, cost is the issue) then I'm going to purchase a cleaner Cherokee with a nicer body and frame that isn't as rusty, although it will need an engine swap. I didn't mean to sound angry...it's just I need some time to work things out.
I'll keep this thread updated as to what I plan to do or what I have done. And thanks for the luck!

being that you got it for $400. You could easily part that thing out for a profit. Easily over $1000 in profit. So maybe it's a win win situation. Lol
And I don't plan to drive it until I figure out what to do with that frame rail. I appreciate all the posts but I WILL figure something out. I just bought this Jeep barely a couple weeks ago, I'm not giving up on it.
Have you considered getting your money back? Unless you purchased that thing only for parts you got hammered.

If you were handy with a welder and had the equipment you could probably do something but remember, Rust Never Sleeps. You would need to cut all the rust out and replace with new steel and reinforce for the frame rail.
Since you have a parts jeep now, I need the passenger side taillight and the center console latch, oh and I want the headliner if it's a sound bar delete one--oh and the engine if it has a good block I need it for a mild 4.0 rebuild I'm doing right now .
looky there, you may have made a couple hundred bucks already.

Sorry for you dude. I hate to see anyone get into a situation like this. You did get a good price for a parts jeep though (keep on the sunny side of life)
Problem reinforcing it is that you can't weld to Rust. Having grown up in Northern Illinois I have dealt with my fair share of rusted jeeps, but that one is dangerous because of the Cherokeee Unibody design and not cost feasible to fix, yes you can fix it, but dude I paid $350 for this 2 Wheel Drive one and it is completely Rust Free (I live in Florida now), find something like this and move your parts all over, sell the extras, you will be much happier in the end.

Once I get some prices figured out then I'll decide what I'll do. If it isn't cost effective for my budget, I'm looking at one that needs an engine swap but is not very rusty for about $800.
Yeah there's no reasonable way to fix that. The lack of frame makes those repairs impossible. You can come out ahead though if you have the space to part it out.
