Bought 6.5in LA kit from RC. Went through first set of packs after 4mo of use, recieved 2nd set of packs, went though them in 1mo! This jeep is not my daily driver. These packs are the worst set of packs ive ever experienced, So I called RC and wanted my money back since not one but 2 of thier products failed, they wanted to send me bushings and call it a day, As we kno these packs are supposed to last years arent they? youd be hearing from me again in another mo. calling about the same problem. So they said they would return my money of 160dollars. but I had to send back all 4 leaf packs on my dime.. which would roughly leave me with 80 and a jeep with no rear leafs. So that is a no go, I then asked them to send me the relocation brackets instead but had to pay for shipping, Normally the bracket goes for 120, I recieved them for 60, and ill throw thier POS leafs away and build my own bastard packs. cause I spent 1500 on this kit. Im leaving alot of additional information out cause it just really pisses me off on how this company treats thier customer. Ive not only purchased 5 other lifts from these guys over the years and this is what I receive? ILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER RC PRODUCT again.
So here are some pics and let me kno what you think!
BEFORE WITH 4.5in RC packs!
Horrible shackle angle I sent all these pics to RC.

You can see the plastic wrap is still on the packs!
After 1mo on new set of packs

after 4mo. on orginal packs

NEW SHACKLE ANGLE W/ BRACKETS

Pic of new bastard packs:

Alternative:
I Built my own bastard packs, I used a stock main Leaf with stock bushings. The 2nd leaf was the main leaf off of the 4.5in leaf pack (used a torch to cut the eyes out.) the 3rd was the 2nd leaf off the stock pack, the 4th leaf was the 3rd leaf off of the 4.5in pack. the 5th and 6th leaf were the rest of the stock packs.
Review: I Love them! plain and simple, sorry for the lack of photos on the build process. But jeep sits level and plenty of flex for 35's Cost:$10.00 ( bought stock leafs off of friend).

the 4.5'' packs are too short, my shackles are burried against the front of the mounts on brand new springs. Rough country told me to "drive it" and it will sort itself out.
It wont, and I know it, once I get the jeep driveable I'm gonna flex them out and see what happens, if I dont get a normal angle I want free relocation aswell.
I still plan on buying thier long arm upgrade. They just suck at leaf springs, the poor yj guys have had a bum deal since they started lol.

might I point out that is not the factory diameter bolt you have going through your leafspring and shackle there... did that effect the wear and tear on your bushing? maybe... the packs look great, if you don't want em, I'll pay shipping and scrap price. Looks like just the bushing is tore up.
FYI, I've been running my 1st set of 4.5" full leaf packs from rough country for 2 years now and absolutely LOVE them...
P.S. I was serious about shipping and scrap price. I'll put new bushings in them and put them to good use.

Just some one with .02 cents worth of advice. If you dont like their customer service... why buy something that uses the same style bushings.
I strongly suggest anyone running leaf springs upgrade to a poly style bushing as they dont wear out as quickly. Also over flexing/forcing it to flex cause what you have pictures.
Lastly you get what you pay for. If yo want good leaf springs that arent stupid stiff to start with some deavers

This is the the 6.5in LA. Their original intention was for you to use the 4.5in full pack with their 2in shackle, it sits stink was to bad so I was forced to run the stock shackle. Awsome! thats what i made this thread for to let people kno alittle bit more about my experience with this company but you do get wht you pay for.

And what in the world does "it sits stink was to bad" mean?
BTW, my offer still stands... you don't want them anyway, right?

Ya thats the problem, they seem like 6in too short! and thats wht I asked them and they just said weve sold a couple thousands of lifts and no one else is having issues. JUST TO MAKE CLEAR! ( I did not receive free relocation kit) after payin 1500 for the full kit back in 2010 I had to pay an additional $60 bucks for those brackets last month, they wouldnt send them free.
and I had to pay shipping hope this helps!

honestly had no idea what you meant. I dunno about that 6.5 setup either, but my 4.5 sits level. come to think about it, kid that lived on the next street over ran the 6.5 and his sat higher in the back too.

With not using the factory diameter bolt, That was the one they sent in the kit, but now that you mention it, that might be one of the problems.
