Just wondering if anybody has used them, they claim to be the same thing as an Aussie, however they are only $198 shipped

I looked them up for a friend. Made by some of the engineers from Aussie. For the price, I can't see a problem with them.

Tracking says it will be here on the 27th, not bad considering it came from Australia, I'll post up when its installed

Reading between the lines on this and a few searches (which could be way off the mark), it would seem that "Lokka" is made by Gear to Goannawhere 4WD Systems in Adelaide, Australia http://www.4wdsystems.com.au/index.php?id=1

and that they are in fact the original manufacturer of "Aussie Locker" which was the trade mark used by Torq-Masters Technology Inc for the US market.

Taken from Lokka's FAQ's

"LOKKA has been manufactured in Australia since the late 1990’s and has been sold globally under its own brand name or re-branded for local resellers.
From 2003 to 2012 it was best known in North America under the brand name Aussie Locker™* The Aussie Locker™ model listing was only a small subset of the total number of products that were available."

Torq-Masters Technology Inc announced last year that "Aussie Locker" was now made in the USA.

So while you can't be a 100% it would seem likely that anyone that bought an "Aussie Locker" prior to them being manufactured in the US does in fact have a "Lokka" that was branded as "Aussie Locker"

I did see that part in the FAQs, but was just curious because its the internet, ya know? I can make lockers in my garage and say on my site that I used to own Yukon haha

It looks as if Lokka has been around for years as there are posts on Aussie forums questioning if they are the same.

Here's an interesting thread seems you could not buy the Aussie Locker in Australia even when it was advertised as being made there.
