Moog CC782 Variable Rate Coil Spring
That is correct for what is available on the market today.

If I was in your position I would most likely buy a full 2" lift kit from old man emu, and replace the steering with zj steering because it's beefier and not much extra cost over the xj steering. I tow a trailer daily for work and I'm lifted 3" in the front a little over 4 in the rear and on 31" tires. It's not perfect but I've never run into any problems. Just because it's lifted doesn't mea it can't be lifted correctly with high quality parts that will last. Yes leaving stock pinion angles and stock steering and stock control arms and brake lines will cause wear and tear and such but if lifted properly it shouldn't cause noticeably faster wear on components. Especially when talking 3" lift and under.

The OME 2" lift is a great choice. A bit expensive, but there is a reason for it

Here's some info on duplicating the "Upcountry" suspension.

I have OME on the front of the MJ, they do not make springs for the rear of the MJ, I have General Spring on the rear which is a good match.

I have Moog on the XJ.

There is NO comparison to ride quality, none.

But you cannot convince others.

All I know is, anyone that has tried OME springs/leafs has reviewed it as an exceptional ride compared to any others. Not just on Jeeps either.
OME is designed and built in Australia where there are 500+ mile long dirt washboard roads to contend with, in a fully loaded vehicle.

I had OME 2" rear springs and coil spacers before i went with my taller lift. Rode great, had no issues, fit 31's but 30's would have been perfect fit for that lift. I would recommend OME in a heartbeat

Here is my biggest dilemma.... One of my really good friends who has been in the jeep world for quite some time now, he is like a connossuier of sorts with jeeps, told me that a 265/75r15 (31×10.5) will fit under a Cherokee Sport with no issues with stock suspension if the suspension wasn't sagging which I'm sure mine is. Is he mistaken? Because that is about the tire size I would like. That is why I wanted to rebuild to stock.

I have 31s on the wife's XJ. Replaced with Moog and Dorman- stock height.

The only thing I recommend is the WJ LCA swap so you can go full lock.

Other than that, yes, 31s is a stock tires size.

265/75/15
4.5" lift.
6" uptravel, 4" down. Can still rub fenders during joy rides.

I rubbed with 31s before I trimmed the bumpers at 3" lift. Stock I couldn't fit 30s at all and 29s rubbed over bumps sometimes.

I don't think 31s came stock on any Cherokee. The biggest stock size I've seen/ heard of was 235/75/15 which comes out to ~29

They are, that's how I know.

I put my money in the MJ, not the XJ.

I still regret the Moog.
