Stock carriers are for gears under 4.56, you need a 4.56 and up carrier

Just looked up the 35, and yes you will need one for that too! Spider gears are okay stock though

All the Dana axles I can think of will need a different carrier numerically above 3.73. They don't all have the same break point, but any Dana axle will need a narrower offset carrier for a 4.88

are you really 100% on this? Cause the stock carrier split is 3.73 and down, 3.74 and up. 4.56 gears would ride the same carrier as 4.10 gears and 4.88 gears. 3.73 gears would ride the same carrier as 3.55 and 3.07 gears.

If you're currently running anything below 4.10's you will need a new carrier.

dylan91xj, Why would you throw away good money on gears and lockers for a Dana 35 axle?
You can buy a Chrysler 8.25 from a Junk Yard for 100-150, it is a direct bolt in and if it is a 97+ it will have 29 spline shafts and be something worth spending the money on to up grade.
